This website is owned and operated by Dan Mitchell, known as mrStat, Hiuman Heating and DanTheGas. You can contact me from the contact page on my site.

This site collects essential data from users to make it work, this may be an IP address or details about your browser or operating system. It will keep a log of whether or not you have visited before. This data is collected and stored in an annonymous fashion through server and service provider logs. I utilise additional providers such as Google and Cloudflare to manage access to this site and it's content and these service providers have their own privacy policies.

I collect personal data when you make contact with me, whether by phone or email/contact form. This information is provided to enable me to fulfill a real world service and will consist of information about you, your property and how I can contact you. This may also include payment details should you purchase a service from me. This information will be requested by the website or myself directly, or you may provide this inadvertantly through your communications with me.

All personally identifiable data gathered will be treated confidentially, stored in encrypted databases and on devices with password and pincode protection to prevent unauthorised access. I never print anything that contains personal data, except in the event of a taxation or legal request.

Data gathered is used exclusively for conducting my business as described on the website. I will not and do not pass any personal data on to any other party without explicit prior consent from yourself.

Data gathered is destroyed when it is no longer considered as needed. As a worked example, if you provide your address for a quotation, I will hold your address on file for a period of 6 months, if you do not accept the quotation, the data will be destroyed as you will be deemed as not interested.

In another example, you have work completed by myself... I will keep all of your information for a period of 12 months (The warranty period), after which time your data will be sunsetted to accounts, which will be held for 5 years from date of sale.

In the event of an extended warranty, I will hold your data for a period equating to that of the extended warranty period.

In certain situations I will provide you with links to online data repositories that may contain your personal data or data that may be used to personally identify you. This may be through a cloud provider such as Google, or it may be hosted in one of my own digital environments. If you do not wish me to enable online access, or would like your online access revoked, please let me know.

The following documents will be held for a minimum period of 5yrs and may not be removed unless requested by a court or official body:

• Building control notifications.
• Records of Gas Safety Inspections.
• Invoices

If you need a copy of one of these documents from archive (Ie: 12 months or longer after date of issue), I will request a fee of £2 to cover administration.

Any request to review, update or remove data will be handled within the shortest possible period, I aim to complete these requests within 48hrs. Certain data may need to be kept for legal reasons and you will be informed of this at the time of the request. You can request this by contacting me.
